The Book Museum cum Ethnology Center: The First in Asia

Books will always be my first love. Since I was in elementary reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies. When I learned of The Book Museum, I just knew that my bookworm heart had to get there. So I did.

The Book Museum cum Ethnology Center is the first of its kind in Asia. It features not only a great variety of amazing books but also a collection of well-preserved and precious artifacts from Northern and Southern Part of the Philippines.

The museum was founded by none other than the owner of Rex Publishing Inc. from his personal collections he got from travelling all around the Philippines and even the world. He has travelled to more than 200 countries and is not stopping at that!

Admission fee is P300 inclusive of access in the whole Museum Complex and P100 worth of voucher in James Dean Café.

We weren’t allowed to take pictures inside the two ethnology centers because the artifacts needed to be carefully preserved and taking pictures of them might affect the chemicals keeping them in perfect shape. Nonetheless you will be able to fully appreciate them as a tour guide will accommodate you throughout the whole Museum Complex.

How to get there?
From Cubao or SM Megamall, you can ride an FX bound to SSS Village. Alight at Meralco and from there you can ride a tricycle to The Book Museum.
