AUGUST has been a very busy month for me due to sudden changes with schedule at work. Luckily, I still found time to spend time with my family and friends.

It’s been months since I last met up with Kate. She was a friend and a former co-teacher at the school I used to work at. She is only free on the weekends (since she’s a teacher) while I never have weekends free.

I have never been good with highlighting though, I find it too hard to do and it’s too extreme for my everyday drab. I have been cosplaying for more than 6 years now and have met a lot of friends along the way (which is another story to tell) and of course include my Antipolo Cosplayers family. Antipolo Cosplayers Association Inc. is a non-profit organization with the purpose of reaching out to the growing cosplay community and aims to promote Cosplaying as not only a form of art but as means of helping other people. This is the reason why we took part on Super Metro Antipolo’s  #MetroGivesBack: Charity Program.

Books will always be my first love. Since I was in elementary reading has always been one of my favorite hobbies. When I learned of The Book Museum, I just knew that my bookworm heart had to get there. So I did.

The Book Museum cum Ethnology Center is the first of its kind in Asia. It features not only a great variety of amazing books but also a collection of well-preserved and precious artifacts from Northern and Southern Part of the Philippines.

Why are memories so important to people?

 I’ve been doing a lot of cleaning lately and discovered that my photo albums were being eaten away by insects (?) so I decided to look for a new photo album to transfer my pictures on. Luckily, I found this cute thrift/novelty shop in Antipolo where I bought this photo album for P200.00. The original price was P250.00 but I had a 20% discount so I got it cheaper. It was perfect for my pictures.

I'm sure I’m not the only one who dreads plucking/shaving/waxing unwanted body hair. I mean, who wouldn’t? It hurts and it’s such a drag. We need to do it as a often as needed for hygienic reasons (which I am totally for, but it’s just such a painful process ugh) and we want it as easy but precise as possible. In our society where we are always in a hurry finish the day, we always want things instant and convenient. Rushing to get takeout food to save time? Put it in a plastic bag. Doing groceries? Carry them on a plastic bag. PLASTIC, the instant and convenient best friend for the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

We become oblivious of what “instant” and “convenient” may cause to our environment. They may end up somewhere and maybe STUCK ON A POOR ENDANGERED SPECIE OF A TURTLE’S NOSE. How would you feel if this plastic straw was yours?
