Life Lately Vol. 6 Where Have I Been?

"Life is like riding a bicycle.
To keep your balance, you must keep moving."
Albert Einstein

It's been 4 years since I last posted anything in this blog, I even almost lost it, yet somehow I keep holding on to this website. It has a special place in my heart, a lot of memories and emotions have been poured into this website and I'm not ready to give it up just yet. I know I've said it before too (I know I've said it A LOT) but I'm really gonna try to post more this time. I PROMISE.

In the meantime, let me bring you up to speed about what's been going on with my life.

I've recently moved in to a house--AN ACTUAL HOUSE! I finally got to move out of my third (and tiniest) apartment in Japan. It's so nice to actually have space to move around. Also since I have so many things thanks to my years of hoarding. I have too many collection of things for someone who doesn't have citizenship in this country. I don't miss my old apartment even one bit. I moved in with the love of my life, and I can't ask for anything more than that (well, there is a lot more I ask of him but that's for another post lol).

I have finished setting up my game setup too and have gotten back to posting on Instagram again, along with TikTok and whatever social media I can post on. I'm trying to be more consistent in streaming on Twitch but life gets in the way (more like laziness). I'm slowly getting back to it though, trying to go for at least once a week. I only got time on the weekends though, since the commute has been taking up most of my time lately after moving and I'm exhausted!

We made our gaming room half his and half mine. We even got matching curtains and used for each of our sides. It was easy for me to set up mine since I already have all of my old things from my previous apartments but he is just starting to collect stuff in Japan so don't judge him! I'm the only one allowed to! He-he!

I've picked up the hook, and now officially a hooker lol. My Vtuber friend Draline managed to brainwash us into crocheting. Now we have a Crochet Coven where we sacrifice amigurumis and old sweaters to our Coven Leader. Kidding aside, it has been so nice being able to make things for the people in my life. Luckily my man hasn't been complaining about having too many amigurumis. I have made him so many lol. I have yet to master making any items of clothing so I am hoping I could learn that this year.

I have dabbled a little bit on knitting too since apparently I'll save more yarn that way but I couldn't quite wrap my head around how to do it. It told me to make a gauge and I don't even know how to do that. Maybe someday...

We've done quite a bit of traveling this year too. We went to Osaka and Kyoto in January and visited a ton of aquariums (liquid zoos as we like to call them).

We have also been able to go to some of the TeamLab attractions mainly TeamLab Borderless and TeamLab Planets in Tokyo, TeamLab Botanical Garden in Osaka and TeamLab Biovortex in Kyoto. We seem to enjoy those a lot!

I was also able to influence him into collecting goshuin (shrine stamps) in a goshuincho (stamp notebook). We both managed to fill up our first ones! (Was able to mark one of my bucket list cause of that!)

In general I would say I'm happy. Stressed and tired but happy. A lot of things to think about at the moment but also a lot of things to be thankful for. I am grateful that I was able to find the man I would be spending the rest of my life with (that should literally be the biggest update to this post but I didn't want to give him the spotlight lol) who is there to care and support me. Maybe I should make a separate post about our love story but I'd have to run it by him...or do I? He-he!

I had to put it out there cause I'm probably gonna be mentioning him a lot in my blog posts. Maybe we should give him a nickname. What should I call him?

For the meantime, I am trying to take things one step at a time. I am currently feeling overwhelmed at the moment but I know it will be just for a moment so I should breath 4-4-4-4 and chill. You should do the same. I bet you need it too.
