Goodbye, Blackheads?: Innisfree Blackout Balm Review

SEPTEMBER 4, 2020

I started using Innisfree Blackout Balm today in hopes of cleansing my pores. Having huge pores has always been a dilemma of mine and it can collect dirt that results to blackheads. I guess it's in my genes so it's annoyingly inevitable. Some seasons it isn't as bad for me and my pores are not as visible, but during the summer season oh man are they having the time of their life. Since it's hot, the pores tend to be more open and of course open pores mean they get to collect dust and dirt like a maniac.

So here's my review of this product:

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT IT

·       It thoroughly removes dirt/makeup on my face.

·       Face is smooth after cleansing it off.

·       Removes dry skin cells.

·       Skin visibly lightens.

·       Easily washes off, doesn’t have a sticky feeling after.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT IT

·       Doesn’t entirely remove the blackheads.

·       The areas with blackheads might appear to be smooth but blackheads are still visible at times.

VERDICT

NOVEMBER 1, 2020

It definitely cleanses the skin and it feels smoother after wash. It is able to remove the visible blackheads that I can feel when I touch my nose as if the balm is melting them but not all gets removed. I used it 2-3 times a week with the Innisfree Super Volcanic Stick Mask 2x. I was hoping it would do better than it did, since I’ve been having breakouts as well because of wearing masks every day. My nose is always itchy which meant blackheads were still there which makes wearing masks more unbearable. I guess it’s too much to ask for its price but if you are looking for a good cleanser this can be one. Definitely will continue using until I finish my balm but I’m still thinking about if I would repurchase it. But I think it's a good cleanser so I might.

RATING

Totally torn if I'm giving it a smile rating or sad. Maybe both? It didn't really make significant changes to my skin but it didn't have bad effects on it too. So I'm not sure if I'm repurchasing it again or not. Maybe I can update you guys in the future!

I am also going to make a review on the Innisfree Super Volcanic Stick Mask 2x hopefully soon. But I want to keep using it first to be able to give accurate comments about it. Do you use anything to get rid of your blackheads? Do you have any suggestions on products I can use? Send me a comment or get in touch in any of my social media accounts! Stay safe!
